Despite offering stable employment, the military has experienced a noticeable decline in recruitment. This report outlines the main causes of this trend, examines its potential consequences, and proposes measures to reverse the situation.
Reasons for Decreased Interest
One of the primary reasons for the declining interest is the growing awareness of the real risks associated with military service. The ongoing Russo-Ukrainian war, hybrid activities conducted by Russia and Belarus, armed incidents along NATO’s eastern flank, as well as provocations and potential attacks involving drones or other unmanned systems, have significantly increased public sensitivity to security threats.
