Due to increasing regional tensions and disruptions to international shipping routes, your naval strike group is preparing to participate in a multinational operation aimed at restoring maritime security in the Strait of Hormuz. The Charles de Gaulle carrier strike group was redeployed from the Eastern Mediterranean through the Suez Canal to the Red Sea.
You have been asked to write a memo to your commanding officer in which you:
- report on the redeployment operation,
- describe how the task was carried out,
- mention any problems encountered and how they were resolved.

- The purpose of this memorandum is to report on the redeployment of Charles de Gaulle carrier strike group as part of preparations for a multinational operation aimed at restoring maritime security in the Strait of Hormuz. The group was moved from the Eastern Mediterranean via the Suez Canal to the Red Sea on 6 May in response to increased regional tensions and disruptions to maritime traffic.
- The task was carried out in coordination with allied naval forces. The Charles de Gaulle carrier strike group transited the Suez Canal under established procedures. Communication was maintained with partner nations, and continuous monitoring ensured safe passage. Coordination with Egyptian authorities was conducted prior to entering the canal.
- Minor challenges were related to transit scheduling and operational adjustments after redeployment. These were resolved through effective communication and logistical coordination.
