Examination task

During the International Defence Industry Exhibition, a soldier from Logistics Brigade had a heart attack. Soldiers from your unit saved his life. In your report:
- give time, date and exact location of the incident
- describe how the incident happened
- say which of your soldiers helped and describe their actions

- suggest how your soldiers could be rewarded for their actions

Subject: Report on Medical Emergency at MSPO
Introduction
The aim of this report is to inform about a medical emergency that occurred during the International Defence Industry Exhibition (MSPO) in Kielce.
Details of Incident
On 3 September 2025 at approximately 14:30, a soldier from the Logistics Brigade collapsed in Hall B near the main entrance to the MSPO. According to witnesses, the soldier suddenly lost consciousness while speaking with exhibitors. It was later confirmed that he had suffered a heart attack.
Action Taken
Two soldiers from our unit, Sergeant Kowalski and Corporal Nowak, immediately responded to the incident. Sergeant Kowalski checked the soldier’s vital signs and began cardiopulmonary resuscitation. At the same time, Corporal Nowak called for medical assistance and brought an automated external defibrillator. They continued first aid until emergency medical services arrived and took over the soldiers.
Current Situation
The soldier was taken to the Ministry of the Interior and Administration Hospital in Kielce, where he is receiving treatment. According to the latest information, his condition is stable and he is recovering.
Recommendation
It is recommended that Sergeant Kowalski and Corporal Nowak receive official commendations for their quick and professional actions. Additionally, further first aid training should be organised for all personnel in our unit.
