Write a minimum of 120 words on the topic below.
While on a combat mission, you noticed unusual reactions and behaviour of several soldiers from your company. You think they might be suffering from psychological disorders. Write a memo to your CO, in which you:
- describe the situation giving examples of strange behaviour
- say what threats may result from such behaviour for individual soldiers and the company’s tasks
- ask for solutions in case the soldiers have to be withdrawn from combat or sent back to the country

- During the recent combat mission against enemy forces, several soldiers from our company were directly involved in sustained high-intensity combat operations. In the course of the operation, I observed unusual reactions and behavioural changes, including a lack of concentration, slowed reaction times, indecision, and visible signs of combat fatigue.
- If such conditions continue, they may affect operational effectiveness. Reduced concentration and emotional instability could increase the risk of errors during tasks, potentially endangering personnel and mission objectives. Additionally, unresolved psychological issues may negatively impact team cohesion and performance.
- Please provide guidance on available procedures and solutions in case the affected soldiers must be immediately withdrawn from combat duties or sent back to the home country. Information is required regarding administrative steps, medical and psychological support arrangements, and timelines for redeployment or treatment.
