Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, met with the UN Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, at the United Nations headquarters in New York on Monday, July 21, 2025.

The United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has appreciated Pakistan’s presence and initiatives at the UN Security Council.
Sekretarz Generalny ONZ, António Guterres, wyraził uznanie dla obecności Pakistanu oraz jego inicjatyw w Radzie Bezpieczeństwa ONZ.
During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering and resolute commitment to multilateralism and the central role of the UN in addressing the most pressing global challenges.
Podczas spotkania wicepremier ponownie potwierdził niezachwiane i zdecydowane zaangażowanie Pakistanu na rzecz multilateralizmu oraz kluczowej roli ONZ w rozwiązywaniu najpilniejszych globalnych wyzwań.
Ishaq Dar reassured the Secretary-General of Pakistan’s focus on strengthening the UN’s role in conflict resolution, in promoting sustainable development, and in upholding the fundamental rights of all peoples around the world.
Ishaq Dar zapewnił Sekretarza Generalnego, że Pakistan koncentruje się na wzmacnianiu roli ONZ w rozwiązywaniu konfliktów, promowaniu zrównoważonego rozwoju oraz obronie podstawowych praw wszystkich narodów na świecie.
On this occasion, the Secretary-General appreciated Pakistan’s strong role and principled positions in the Security Council.
Z tej okazji Sekretarz Generalny docenił zdecydowaną postawę Pakistanu i jego zasady działania w Radzie Bezpieczeństwa.
The Deputy Prime Minister underscored that Pakistan is fully committed to the purposes and principles of the UN Charter, especially the need to advance peace through dialogue and diplomacy.
Wicepremier podkreślił, że Pakistan jest w pełni oddany celom i zasadom Karty Narodów Zjednoczonych, zwłaszcza potrzebie promowania pokoju poprzez dialog i dyplomację.
He said that the high-level debate on multilateralism and peaceful settlement of disputes and the meeting on UN-OIC cooperation, under Pakistan’s Presidency of the UN Security Council for the current month, reflects on Pakistan’s commitment to multilateralism and the promotion of peace.
Wskazał, że debata na wysokim szczeblu na temat multilateralizmu i pokojowego rozwiązywania sporów oraz spotkanie dotyczące współpracy ONZ-OIC (Organizacji Współpracy Islamskiej), organizowane w ramach przewodnictwa Pakistanu w Radzie Bezpieczeństwa ONZ w bieżącym miesiącu, odzwierciedlają zaangażowanie Pakistanu na rzecz multilateralizmu i promocji pokoju.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister emphasized issues of critical national and regional importance to Pakistan, particularly the Jammu and Kashmir dispute, violation of the Indus Waters Treaty and externally sponsored terrorism in Pakistan.
Wicepremier i Minister Spraw Zagranicznych poruszył również kluczowe kwestie o znaczeniu krajowym i regionalnym dla Pakistanu, w szczególności spór o Dżammu i Kaszmir, naruszenia Traktatu o Wodach Indusu oraz terroryzm sponsorowany z zagranicy.
He stressed the imperative of a just settlement of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with the resolutions of the Security Council.
Podkreślił konieczność sprawiedliwego rozwiązania sporu o Dżammu i Kaszmir zgodnie z rezolucjami Rady Bezpieczeństwa.
Ishaq Dar lauded the Secretary-General’s leadership and sincere efforts for de-escalation of recent tensions between Pakistan and India. The Deputy Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering support for Palestinian statehood, an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, and firm opposition to Israel’s annexation plans in the West Bank.
Ishaq Dar wyraził uznanie dla przywództwa i szczerych wysiłków Sekretarza Generalnego na rzecz deeskalacji napięć między Pakistanem a Indiami. Wicepremier ponownie potwierdził niezachwiane poparcie Pakistanu dla utworzenia państwa palestyńskiego, natychmiastowego zawieszenia broni w Gazie oraz zdecydowany sprzeciw wobec planów aneksji Zachodniego Brzegu przez Izrael.
The Deputy Prime Minister and the UN Secretary-General also discussed the upcoming High-Level International Conference for the Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution, being held in New York next week, and exchanged views on the need to decide meaningful outcomes at that Conference.
Wicepremier i Sekretarz Generalny ONZ omówili również zbliżającą się Międzynarodową Konferencję Wysokiego Szczebla na rzecz Pokojowego Rozwiązania Kwestii Palestyńskiej i Realizacji Koncepcji Dwóch Państw, która odbędzie się w Nowym Jorku w przyszłym tygodniu, oraz wymienili poglądy na temat potrzeby osiągnięcia konkretnych rezultatów podczas tego wydarzenia.
Ishaq Dar emphasized that the Secretary-General’s ‘UN80’ initiative offered a critical opportunity to strengthen the three pillars of the United Nations to promote international peace and security, sustainable development and human rights worldwide.
Ishaq Dar zaznaczył, że inicjatywa Sekretarza Generalnego „UN80” stanowi ważną szansę na wzmocnienie trzech filarów ONZ: promocji pokoju i bezpieczeństwa na świecie, zrównoważonego rozwoju oraz praw człowieka.
Ishaq Dar also briefed the Secretary-General on the steps being taken by Pakistan to promote regional connectivity and spur economic growth.
Wicepremier przedstawił także Sekretarzowi Generalnemu działania podejmowane przez Pakistan na rzecz zwiększenia regionalnej łączności i pobudzania wzrostu gospodarczego.
